Privacy Policy

How the Lancaster Christian Fellowship (LCF) Church App collects, uses, and protects the personal information of our members and staff.

  1. We collect the account and profile information you provide (such as your name, email, phone number, and directory details) so members and staff can recognize and reach one another inside the app.
  2. Member directory and prayer-request information is private to the Lancaster Christian Fellowship community and is protected by database-level access rules — it is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
  3. We use your information only to operate the app: signing you in, showing announcements and events, enabling comments and reactions, and connecting members through the directory and prayer features.
  4. When the mobile app hits an error or crashes, it sends a diagnostic report to Sentry, a third-party error-monitoring service, so we can detect and fix app errors. A report is not tied to your account or to your device, and it carries no name, email address, phone number, directory details, prayer request, comment, or anything else you have written in the app — the error message itself is discarded on your phone before anything is sent. What a report does contain is technical information about the failure and about the phone it happened on: the screen or feature area you were in, the operation that failed, the database error code, the name of the piece of code that failed, the technical stack trace, the app version and build, and standard device details such as your phone model, operating system version, language, time zone, and accessibility display settings. Sentry does not store your IP address, any location derived from it, or any per-device identifier.
  5. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time from inside the app under Settings, or from the Delete Your Account page on this site. Authored prayer requests and comments remain but are shown as "Former member".
